Freeman is a Simple Man with an Honest Plan!
Michael was born and raised in Independence, Mo. He is the proud son of Janice and Gary Freeman. Michael graduated from William Chrisman in the top of his class in 1994. After high school he attended Central Missouri State University (now called UCM). He majored in accounting and was a starter on the Rugby team. After college Michael lived briefly in Tempe, Arizona. He missed the closeness of his family and moved home. When he returned in 2001, he settled in his new adopted home town of Blue Springs.
Michelle Phillips was born to Renate and John Phillips in Warrensburg, Mo and raised in Blue Springs since the age of four. She graduated in 1995 from Blue Springs High School. She graduated from CMSU with a Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education and a Master’s of Art in Teaching from Webster University. Michelle is a tenured teacher in the Blue Springs School District and is currently an autism teacher grade K-2 at Cordill-Mason Elementary.
Michael and Michelle met in February 2003. They were married in 2005. The Lord blessed Michael and Michelle with twin girls in March of 2006, Emma Louise and Gretchen Elaine. The twins are the greatest joy in the couple’s life. The twins are in kindergarten at Cordill-Mason. Family will always be one of Michael’s top priorities.
Michael is currently a Network Operations Center Engineer for Integrated Systems. He is the first line of contact between Integrated System’s clients and his company. He is perfectly positioned to have first-hand knowledge of a client’s service needs, their issues, and how to respond to them. Michael is able to monitor client’s network and find issues before they occur. He listens to the needs of the clients and knows what recommendations to make so their business is productive and competitive in today’s market.
Michael prides himself on honesty and hard work. If Michael does not know an answer he will be honest that he is unsure but he will do the research it takes to find out. Michael has always been knowledgeable of the issues facing Blue Springs. Recently Michael decided he was tired of the status quo and it was time to stand up and make sure the citizens of Blue Springs represented and heard.
